I speak English and Spanish; what’s the difference? Well, I think it’s all about word choice, the way we say things.
I’m not sure if I’ve ever had someone describe a word as “worry” in Spanish, but I’ll grant that in Spanish we use the word “tener” (“to have”) to describe something that’s important or important enough to be “worrying about.
One day I was talking to my friend about English language learners, and we were discussing the differences between English and Spanish and the word worry. She said that in Spanish we use the word worry to mean something that is worrying or on the verge of something big happening, like a major earthquake or something. In English we use worry to mean something so small you cant imagine it, like when you are worried about getting a package that you have to mail or something like that.
Well okay, she got me there. In Spanish, worry is a little similar to what I am describing. For example, in Spanish you can worry that you will lose your place in a race or something, but you also can worry that your boyfriend will cheat on you. But I digress.
I am worried that my boyfriend will cheat on me, which is a little different because the word is used in different contexts. I am worried that this will result in me being kicked off of a race, and so on. But I digress.
I have a habit of writing these very long posts for this very reason. I usually end up writing a post that runs to about 600 words or so. That is because the point of a post is to provide information or background, and then I usually go back to the post to add a bit more detail. I find that after I have written a post, I like to go back and revise the post so that it can be understood better, so I usually write a new post.
I’m not sure if it’s a good thing, but I find that it’s easier to edit a post when I already know the content of the post. So I usually end up doing my revisions about once a month, and I think that by the time I get to the point of publishing a post, I’m pretty well-prepared to write it.
I think that there is a good reason why we sometimes write a post that is not very good. In fact, I think we really don’t want to write a good post at all, or at least that it should be better than most of the posts we write. We want it to be great, but we don’t want to write it.
Im sorry, but I think we should all be glad that we are able to write what we write because there is a good reason why we could not get to write a good post. We are not perfect and we do not always get things exactly right. But I think that we should be glad that we could write such a lot of great content in our life because most of it is about life in general, not about us.
Its because we can write a lot more than we can say. Thats why we write, and thatis why we write about stuff to people who can read it. We want to be able to say something we can get people to agree with, but we want to avoid saying something that would actually cause them to disagree. If we were to write a post about our life, I think we would be very disappointed.
