The Vietnamese restaurant in Destin, FL, is an experience that I will remember for years to come. The owner, a chef with a beautiful Southern accent and impeccable manners, not only knew exactly what to do to make this restaurant the best, but he took the time to explain everything fully to his guests.
This place will be something we look back at some day. I may even find myself thinking about it when my wife and I are ready to move into our first home together.
A few years ago, I was in Destin and the Vietnamese restaurant was next door. It was a quaint little place, tucked into a small lot behind a deli. The owner was a sweet man and his food was delicious. I remember this as one of my favorite restaurants in Destin.
I used to go there every weekend as a kid. My sister and I would stop in early enough that the owner would still be working so he could serve us.
I just can’t imagine not having Vietnamese food in my new home.
I think the owner was a really sweet guy. He was constantly trying to find ways to improve his restaurant. The food was always outstanding. For this reason, I feel it is appropriate to name it after him.
I think Destin is a great city for a Vietnamese restaurant. If you’re going to have a Vietnamese restaurant, it has to be in a place where you can come in and start cooking. We can’t really call those restaurants “restaurants” because they’re often open late into the night. We’d have to make up a word for that.
The name is a bit of a misnomer, since it was meant to be a kind of Vietnamese restaurant. It is an ok place to eat, but it isnt really a Vietnamese restaurant. It is kind of a Thai place, which is what the owner says he is trying to be. The food is great, the decor is very nice, and the staff is really nice.
The good news is that the owner says he is trying to get a franchisee license, so his restaurant could one day have a great big sign with a picture of him (or her, or a cartoon character, or something) on it and people would come in and pay to eat. The bad news is that the franchisee license is only for restaurants. It isnt really a restaurant, it is just a restaurant that sells food.
The restaurant has been around for years and has seen a lot of changes, but the owner says he is just trying to keep that same feeling of “there is something special and unique about this restaurant.” He plans on opening a different kind of restaurant, a restaurant that serves “food that will make you want to come back” (the restaurant’s sign says that). Of course, that is all just a ploy to get the restaurant a franchise.
