I’ve been working with youth in an adult/community setting for five years and have recently transitioned into a youth care worker position. I’m currently stationed in Georgia so I can be close to the kids’ schools and I’m currently in the middle of the school year. I’m looking forward to the summer and seeing how they’re going with school and with me.
One of the main reasons I love working with youth is because I get to work with kids that have lost touch with everything they were before. I also get to work with kids that are really struggling and it gives me the opportunity to talk about how it can be a positive experience for them.
