Like most people, I’ve been to a lot of different restaurants, and have learned that the best ones are the ones that make the most sense. The best of these spots are always filled with good food, great ambiance, and a great way to get your fill of delicious food. A few of these places are places that are owned and operated by the owners of the other spots, and they cater to a different demographic.
These are places that have been operating for decades and are a staple of this city. But there’s a small, select group of people that are not quite ready for a full-blown foodie lifestyle. These people are looking for an alternative. One of the places they frequent is a place called The Sloth.
The Sloth is a small, no-frills restaurant. Its owner, Mike, is a former Marine. He is a bit of a snob, but you can tell that he really cares about the quality of his food. He doesn’t mind talking about food, but he doesn’t talk about food like he talks about video games. That’s because he hates video games. And he hates video games because he doesn’t like them because they aren’t the same.
We know. Because he was a Marine, he has earned a place in our hearts.
The Sloth is located in a no-frills neighborhood. The neighborhood feels like it has seen better days, but there are still some good old-fashioned homes and a little more character, if that makes sense. It’s also just a really quiet neighborhood. There are no bars, no clubs, no places to hang out at night. It’s all just old houses and some of the quietest, most unspoiled neighborhoods you’ll ever see.
The Sloth is the very first restaurant weve featured in this guide. It is also the only restaurant that Ive been able to bring my wife to, because it is the only one that we ever go to on any night. We try to bring our friends, and we try to bring our friends to this restaurant, because we know it will be the place that everyone will go to on their first night in New Orleans.
