I know this isn’t an official blog and that there are a lot of people doing it, but there is a new project from the Santa Monica Municipal Park District to bring some joy to people living in the city. The Santa Monica Municipal Park District is currently building a replica of the actual Park on the City of Santa Monica.
Basically, it’s an urban park with some of the best-looking, most authentic-looking parks in the world. The park is currently undergoing a huge amount of design work and construction, so if you’re not up for a walk through the park, you might want to check out another park on your list.
The park is actually pretty nice. It has a grassy park, an outdoor pool, an outdoor basketball court, a children’s playground, and a nature trail. Even though its a park, its designed to be more like a city park. The park will have a few more features like trees, benches, and a fountain.
At the moment it is still under construction, but santa monica rv park is one of the most anticipated projects in the new Santa Monica. The park is being constructed over the next few months at the Santa Monica Airport on the west end of the park, so there will be plenty of construction happening. One of the most anticipated features of the park will be an outdoor stage that will host musical performances and concerts.
We should probably wait a bit longer to see the park in action. The park is still in construction mode, but it is still a construction project, so there could be some construction happening in the coming months. It’s a big park though, so it could take a while to build.
The biggest problem I see with the park is that it will likely only be open for a few months. I can’t imagine that many people would even be able to get into the park in the first place though. The main reason for the park’s existence is the huge amount of money that the city of Santa Monica has spent on it. I am not sure if there is a plan of how long the park will be open, but the park should be open by 2015.
Santa Monica has purchased the land from the City of Santa Monica for a whopping $6.3 Million! That’s right, $6.3 million. Why would the city of Santa Monica spend that much money building a park, in a city that is growing and becoming a destination for tourists? Well, if you look at the city’s spending as a whole, it is almost certainly the largest amount of taxpayer money ever spent in Santa Monica.
That’s not to mention the park already has a history of attracting tourists, with many of them staying for the park’s many nighttime events. Most of those tourists are kids, but some are grownups who used to stay at the park years ago. There is so much more that could be done with that land. For one, the park could attract more tourists to the city. There are a few hotels and restaurants that could be built here, as well as some retail spaces.
Its a park, its a park. There is not a lot of money to be made selling to tourists and businesses, and the park already has potential as a tourist attraction to San Luis Obispo. The park could have retail spaces and hotels built in and around it, while still looking much nicer than the current park (which is really a huge dump). The park could be used as an event space, hosting musical performances, festivals, and events of all sorts.
The park could also be a tourist attraction, but this is where the thought process of what to do with it needs to come into play. First, we should see if we can get a state grant to develop the park. It’s not hard to imagine that the park could be converted into a state park. And if it were, that state park would likely be run by tourism. But, that’s not the point.
