I bought a doghouse console as an accessory to my RV so every time I needed a quick bathroom fix, I could just grab my keys and go.
If you haven’t figured it out already, rv doghouses are a great way to be able to stash your keys in a really convenient place in your vehicle. In fact, I have a few on my RV and it does a pretty good job of keeping them secure. Most of them are basically just a box with an LED light and a lock that you can click to open the door. You can store as much or as little stuff in them as you want.
That said, I’m not sure I can honestly recommend this to you. I know it’s not a new thing. A few years ago there were rv doghouses on the market for $99 or less, but they were pretty poorly designed and you needed a really good lock to get them to work. Most of them also broke down and had to be replaced pretty frequently, if not constantly.
They are not new, but they are not that well designed. The rv doghouses I remember seeing on the market were often poorly designed and had a lot of moving parts. They always seemed to be a little too heavy for their tiny space, and they were often too slow to open and close. If you were to take my word for it, I don’t think you would even need to try to open them to know that they are pretty awkward to use.
