I’ve always been an advocate of the quote, “There is no such thing as a free lunch.” It’s one that I’ve come to embrace. It means that you don’t have to wait for someone to make you feel good before you make your own. Don’t wait for someone to give you a free meal. Don’t wait for someone to give you a free drink.
This is often a key part of the reason that people stop drinking. It’s a common refrain in most surveys that people don’t feel they need to drink in order to be happy. But, the problem is that the people who are telling you things are often telling you that they don’t want to give you the free drink. It is this type of thinking that leads to the common phrase, I don’t need a drink to be happy.
A lot of people tell me to take a drink, but I tell them “I dont need a drink to be happy.” I tell them that I dont need a drink to be healthy, that I need a drink for work, or that I need a drink to be creative. I tell them to take a drink, but I tell them that they dont need a drink to be happy. It is the same reason that people stop eating. It is the same reason that people stop smoking.
I know people who are drinking every day to have a drink every day. If they didn’t drink every day, they wouldn’t have to. When I say I dont need a drink to be happy, I mean it. I don’t need to drink to be happy. I dont need to drink to be healthy. I dont need to drink to be creative. I dont need to drink to be happy. I dont need to drink to be healthy.
Drinking is a pretty common occurrence, especially among those who have a lot of social life. You can be happy even when you’re not drinking. You can even be productive even if you don’t drink. I’ll drink to get drunk, but I’ll drink to just be happy. It’s actually a pretty simple equation.

In the past year Ive tried to think of all the ways I want to feel when Im drunk. Ive tried making up all these stories about how I want to feel drunk. Ive tried drinking all these teas to feel drunk. Ive tried drinking all these beers to feel drunk. Ive tried drinking all these coffees to feel drunk. Ive tried drinking all these sodas to feel drunk. Ive tried drinking all these teas to feel drunk.
In my drunkenness, Ive learned one thing: I am a terrible drunk.
Its not that I cant see myself drunk, nor that I cant see myself not drunk. Its that I know I am not drunk. I am not drunk. It is just that I am not drunk.
