I traveled to India during the summer of 2007. I had a chance to attend a conference in Mumbai, a small city in the Indian state of Maharashtra. During my travel, I had an opportunity to visit several sites around Mumbai, such as the world famous Taj Mahal, and the Jain Temple at Mandar.
After the trip to Mumbai, I traveled to the Indian state of Gujarat. In Gujarat, I visited the city of Chittorgarh and the famous city of Ahmedabad. In Ahmedabad, I visited the city of Surat, and the city of Jodhpur, both in Rajasthan. I also visited the town of Surat in the state of Madhya Pradesh.
Surat in Madhya Pradesh is the largest city of the state. It is famous for its temples, Jainism, and its cultural diversity. It is the home of the famous city of Bijapur, the most popular city of India. In it, I explored the city of Jodhpur, known in India as the ‘City of Pink Pimps’.
