I was so excited to go to this restaurant in DC. It is a Moroccan restaurant and they had a lovely lunch menu. I ordered the Moroccan Seafood Salad and it was so amazing I had to share it with someone. This salad is made from some really fresh, flavorful ingredients you will not find on the typical salad buffet. I had the dukkah salad which was like a yogurt and tahini salad.
I wanted to try the lamb but I don’t have a lot of time to spend on this restaurant so I ended up eating the salad and then ordering the lamb. As a vegetarian, I was so pleasantly surprised by the lamb. The lamb is actually one of the hardest lamb dishes to make. I had to use all of my butchering skills to get it right. The lamb was so tender and the sauce was the best I had ever eaten.
I can’t eat meat, especially the red meat. It just isn’t meant for me. The food was delicious though. The lamb is delicious and I will certainly be making it again.
I wish there were more restaurants like this. In Morocco we have a lot of very similar places where you can order some Moroccan food and get a good meal for a reasonable price. If you want to find a good one, I recommend Moroccana.
I’m sorry to say that there is not a single restaurant in DC that is “Moroccan.” These are all “Indonesian” restaurants and you have to find a menu that doesn’t include any meat. There are a few exceptions in Chinatown and the few surrounding malls (especially in the evening). Unfortunately, most are only open to patrons who are very particular about what they order.
I’m not sure if this is really a food issue. I mean, is it really a problem that most restaurants don’t have any meat in them? I’m not saying it is, but I don’t think it is. The problem with this is that if you are ordering meat it is very hard to know what you are ordering.
There are a lot of good reasons to make meat an optional item. Meat is a necessity for cooking, it’s a great protein source, and just about every American diet craze you can think of has meat in it.
But the problem is that the majority of Americans don’t want to eat the meat they actually cook. Sure some people will order meat and other people won’t, but the overwhelming majority will not. And the majority of Americans will also be eating out a lot more.
I think it is one of the reasons we tend to love cooking, but it can really hinder your health if you do. When I was younger I was a vegetarian and even though I loved meat, my health would suffer. I would get sick really quickly from eating out, so I would stop going. But I didnt miss it because I knew that if I stopped going out, I would be sick as a cow.
In fact, the same thing is true for a lot of people that we read about who are on a serious diet. They are also quite sick (and it has a lot to do with the fact that they eat a very high caloric diet). But when you have to choose between eating out and your health, you can’t eat out. It is easy to say, “But I love cooking!” But when you actually have to make those choices, you have to eat out.
