The Meskel Ethiopian restaurant is located on the top floor of a building with great views of the city. Every day when I wake up, I feel like I am seeing the city from a better perspective. Eating and drinking at an Ethiopian restaurant is the perfect combination of dining and drinking. This is probably the most beautiful part of my day.
The restaurant is made up of five sections: a small lobby, a garden, a bar, a dining room, and a kitchen. Each section is surrounded by various food options, which include a variety of appetizers, salads, and entrees. The bar is a little too small for any true drinking, but there are a few glasses hanging around.
There are two main parts to the restaurant. The lobby is a bit formal and formal in a good way. It’s the perfect place for a group of people to come together and relax. The dining room is a bit too intimate for any true dining, but the menu is a nice mix of Mediterranean and Ethiopian dishes. The name meskel (pronounced “mesh”) means Ethiopian in the original language and is a variation of the Greek word for “water”. Also, Ethiopian cuisine is very similar to the cuisine of Eritrea, Ethiopia’s neighbor to the south. The food is served in a number of different ways, from “water” to “fish” to “meat”.
Ethiopian food is very light and flaky, but this place had that good Ethiopian-ness too. I can’t quite put my finger on what I liked, but I liked the way the food was prepared and the service was great.
