When I was doing my research on the matsuyama restaurant, I found that it doesn’t actually have any Japanese cuisine. It actually has Western cuisine such as steaks, sushi, and pasta and so on, but the dishes there are all created by Japanese chefs. The actual cuisine is more “Japanese” in the sense that it is made with the Japanese ingredients. So in Australia, if we wanted a sushi restaurant, we could go to a sushi restaurant. In Japan, if we wanted a steak, we could go to a steak restaurant. In the US, if we wanted a steak, we could go to a steak restaurant. It’s almost like the only difference is that in Japan, the steak restaurant is more Japanese, whereas in the US, it is more American.
It is true that in Japan, the steak restaurant is more Japanese, and in the US, the steak restaurant is more American, but it is also true that in Japan steak restaurants are more popular and in the US, steak restaurants are more popular. This is because in Japan, steak restaurants tend to be more upscale with fancier decor, and the American steak restaurant tends to be more casual and less pricey.

I don’t usually eat at matsuyama for a variety of reasons, but I do think it’s a pretty good steak restaurant. The steak is pretty good, the decor isn’t shabby, and there are a ton of pretty good steak choices. I think it’s worth a visit if you are in Tokyo.
I will admit that the name matsuyama is a little misleading, since most of the steak dishes are actually rice dishes. But the food was surprisingly good. If you have to ask, then go get it.
I would recommend getting a reservation for one of the steaks. The portion is pretty huge for such a small place. I’ve been there several times, and they have never disappointed.
