We’ve been to Manis a couple of times now, and they always have a great time. We like that Manis offers a variety of healthy options, and that they have a decent selection of local beers. We have some of the best Italian food we’ve tried in Chicago, so it’s great to have a place to go that dishes up the best Italian food in Chicago.
In a nutshell, Manis has a great selection of authentic Italian dishes like pizza, pasta, and panini, plus a great salad bar. Their menu also includes an extensive wine list and a couple of cocktails. I’m always pleasantly surprised at how good they are, and how much fun they make it to eat and drink there.
With the exception of a few of the beers, Manis is very much a casual, family-friendly Italian restaurant. Its location is good for kids in a pinch, though the staff can be a little overbearing. The service is fast and efficient, and the prices are reasonable. We like the fact that the pasta is not too pricey and that the prices go up as you get closer to the pasta.
