This is one of our all-time favorite restaurants, and just a few years ago, it was one of the very few places we got to dine in. Now that’s all changed. The Jimmy Dean’s has changed from a casual, family-style Italian restaurant in the heart of Berkeley to a hip, urban spot with a new urban look and an all-day-sizzling menu.
They’re also charging an insane price for the food – $60 for a medium plate! – which is a huge hit with our office, the place is a great value, and we’re always glad to get a good meal. We love coming here for the food and the ambiance, but its the food that really makes us long for it to return.
It’s not just that the Jimmy Deans is in the heart of Berkeley and that it’s a great value. We love the location, the ambiance, and the food. That’s why we’re so sad that it won’t happen again.
Sadly, this will not be the last time we go to Jimmy Dean. We hope, though, that it doesnt become the last time.
