My mom is Italian. She’s a big foodie. Before we moved to Chicago, she would cook Italian food at home. I’m the last of seven, so I knew exactly what I was getting into. It would be a first for me, but I’m glad I did because now I can make my own pasta that’s actually good.
And now Im doing it. My parents live in Chicago but I grew up in the city (and I actually live in one of the neighborhoods they live in, so we actually have a good amount of diversity in the neighborhood). The restaurants I visited are all pretty good, but I just want to mention one because it’s my favorite. It’s in the Italian neighborhood, but you’ll have to get the hell out of the way because it’s huge.
This restaurant is located in a small Italian neighborhood in the city of Gilbert. There are a couple of Italian restaurants in the city, but this is the one that’s been on my list to visit. The food is good (especially the pastas) but the atmosphere is just right. The food is a bit pricey, but I can’t complain.

Now that the city center is a lot more lively in the summer, I guess the “lunchtime” location isn’t such a bad idea after all. I know it sounds like I’m on some blog about how great it is that everyone in america eats at italian restaurants, but its not. It’s just too bad that it’s only in the city center. That being said, we really need for more restaurants in the city center. In my opinion, the best restaurant in the city center is the bistro. And even then, its in the city center.
