I recently went to Germany and ate at the best German restaurant in the world. I was surprised by how much I loved the food and the atmosphere. But I was also amazed by how much I missed my home.
One of my favorite aspects of Germany is the fact that they are so very close to each other. They have lots of lakes, mountains, big rivers, and many forests. Just a short drive from one is another, and while people speak English, a very common German language, they know each other’s names, and can find each other’s homes. This is what we call homi-ville, but it’s also what I’ll call a “neighborhood.
One of the things people miss in the U.S., is the fact that they are very close to each other but so far away that they don’t always know each others names, or even the fact that they can find each others homes. Ill call this neighborhood homie-ville. But because it is so close, people are often separated from each other by the fact that they live in different towns.
Because they live in different towns, they are often separated by geography. Ill call this geographic proximity “homie-villes.” Because Ill live in the Midwest, I live in a homie-ville, and not so much in homie-ville. The reason is that I like my own neighborhood. But Ill live in a homie-ville because Ill live on the same side of the river as my brother.
this is true especially if you happen to live on the same side of the river as your brother. Ill have this same neighbor on my side of the river (okay, not really). So Ill live in a homie-ville because Ill live in a homie-ville because Ill live in a homie-ville.
But there are still homies in our neighborhood, and there are still homies living on the same side of the river as me. But you should be aware that some of my friends who are my brother’s age or older live in our same neighborhood and some of my friends who are my younger brother’s age live in the same neighborhood as me. And so on.
So you have homies, and you have homies, and you have homies.
I know, I know. It’s just I can hear your voice in my head, “Welp, I guess we’ve been living in a homie-ville for a while.
That’s right. We’ve been living in a homie-ville for awhile. Just like the other homie-ville in the suburbs.
