I had a great time at this French restaurant last week-end, so I thought I would share it with you. It was the first time I had gotten a free meal in the entire country (I live in New York, after all). Not only did the food and staff were great, the view and atmosphere made it a memorable evening. The first level of self-awareness came once you ate and began to truly appreciate the view and atmosphere.
At the beginning, you are introduced to a man who is looking for a new job. He’s very excited. The second level of self-awareness comes when you realize he’s probably an unemployed person, so you ask him what he is doing. “I’m going to work.” You can see that he does indeed work, but you can also see that he is a bit of a loner and has no interest in getting involved.
The third level of self-awareness is when you realize that hes talking to you, and hes not looking at you. This is when you realize that you are not alone. It is also when you realize that hes the boss, and that you have the power to get what hes asking for. Finally, it is when you realize that hes a bit of a douche, and that hes not so excited about the job.
So, when I say douche, I’m talking about the way he’s going on about his job and not the way he’s talking about his job. He’s not talking about money. He’s not asking for money. He’s not saying “I’m getting paid,” or “I’m getting paid, but I’m not doing this for free.

I think hes is being honest about how he feels about his job. Hes not being a jerk about it. Hes not being an entitled prick. Hes not being some pathetic victim. Hes being proud of the job hes doing. I think the point to all this is to show that the same type of person can work at a different level, but that they are all at the same level. Even if you can get someone at the level you want them to be at, you still have to be a certain type of person to earn that level. Being a jerk doesn’t make you special, and being an entitled jackass doesn’t make you special.
A lot of people seem to forget that there are a lot of different types of people, but it does make it easier to see that the job they’re doing is just as important as the person they’re doing it for.
What is important is that we can all do something that makes us better. The more we all can do, the more we can all be. One of the things that I see a lot of people missing is that it doesn’t matter what your job is. If you’re a writer for example, you can be a writer for a living, or you can be an accountant at a restaurant. Its the same person. The only difference is the type of person they are.
I think that’s why I love French restaurants. There’s always a reason why a person hires you. You can make a great impression by just showing up and having a good time, but you can also make a great impression by knowing why you’re there.
