Flagstaff, AZ is located in the southern part of the state of Arizona, in the northern portion of the United States. The total population of Flagstaff is approximately 20,000, and the city is located at the base of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains.
Flagstaff, like many other cities in Arizona, has a reputation for being a bit cold, or maybe just rough. Many locals seem to have a sense of humor about this, so that’s where we found ourselves as we headed for our trip to Flagstaff. Flagstaff has a relatively cold climate, with temperatures between the high-90’s and low-60’s, and the city is located in the summer, not the desert climate.
Flagstaff also has a reputation for being a bit rough. The local nickname is “The Little Rock of Flagstaff” and its nickname is “The City That Scratches Your Car.” People often say they won’t go to Flagstaff because of the way people treat them, but I think that’s because people go to Flagstaff because they like it.
Flagstaff is actually a nice town, with a vibrant downtown with a local pub, an excellent movie theater, and a zoo that features a wild bird. It’s a place that has a real sense of community, and a place where you can find that “real” Flagstaff attitude. Flagstaff is kind of like the stereotypical middle-class American town, with its small town feel and its attitude of “if you like it, you should go there.
Flagstaff is also a town filled with great companies, and there are a variety of stores that serve the area like the local grocery store, the local pharmacy, the local bank, and the local restaurant. I’m not sure if its a good town, but I like it for the reasons I listed above.
Flagstaff, Arizona, is a town of about 1,000 people. The local Starbucks is very good to the locals, and the city council has tried to promote the town as a place to live. Flagstaff is much more laid back than other towns I’ve visited, but I don’t know if its that attitude is good or bad.
Flagstaff is a small town with a small population, so it is not uncommon to find some homeless people hanging out on the streets or in the back alleys. However, Flagstaff is a lovely place to live, and the community has a friendly vibe.
