For the last year or so I’ve been hearing word after word that the restaurant was being remodeled by a real-estate developer. It turns out the real reason it’s called Dragongate is because it’s based on a drag strip.

A good restaurant name is always one that conveys a sense of fun, speed, and excitement. I’m always excited to eat at restaurants that are named after cars or the tracks they are based on. It’s a name that conveys the same sort of feelings that a good drag strip or drag racing car feels.
