I love it when a dish tastes better when you’re in the kitchen. A dish can taste better simply because you are hungry, and you are trying to create a meal for yourself.
You can taste a dish just by tasting it and then you know you have it, or you can taste it just because you want to, for example. The same thing happens with a recipe. You can taste it because you want to, or you can taste it because it tastes good.
The recipe of the day, for me, is a pasta recipe with meat sauce. This dish is so simple that you can probably make it with just about any kind of pasta. And you can make it with meat, or with seafood, or with veggies, or even meat and eggs! You can make it for dinner parties or for a special occasion, or you can make it for just your own dinner.
In addition to the meat sauce recipe, I recommend making a pasta sauce for your spaghetti or lasagna. It’s good for dipping into pasta salad, for topping with pasta or for making into a sauce.
I make this dish often because it’s easy and the ingredients are inexpensive. You can use whatever meat you have in your refrigerator right now as well because the sauce is also pretty cheap.
I usually make the tomato sauce in advance of the pasta, and then I just pull it together and put it in the fridge before I put the pasta in. I try to use as much bread as I can. I like to make a really good bread sauce but I use a lot of garlic or a good olive oil instead.
The sauce can be made a day ahead of time. Just start by putting all the ingredients in a pot and cooking them until they are thickened and bubbly. Then take them out, and you are ready to eat.
The sauce is one of the quickest, most economical sauces to make. It can also be made with all the ingredients in less than an hour.
One of the more challenging things about this recipe was the garlic. I used two cloves, but if you want to use three or even four, just reduce the amount of garlic in the recipe a little bit. You will still need the other ingredients as well.
I used the sauce because it took me less than half an hour to make. If you have a larger kitchen, you can use the recipe for meatballs instead, but I would suggest making this sauce the first time just for fun.
