The idea of eating at a restaurant in the city of Atlanta, GA, is intimidating. But after having had the opportunity to dine at Colombo restaurant, I can’t deny that it is a thrill.
Like most restaurants in America, the Colombo is located in Midtown Atlanta, which is a bit of a trek but it’s worth it for the atmosphere. The place is decorated in a Mediterranean style, with white walls and black linens and a large open dining area. The food here is not only fresh, but it’s also very good. The menu lists the ingredients of the dishes but it’s not necessary for you to read the menu.
The main dish I ordered was the seafood spaghetti and sardines, which was as fresh as a real fresh fish. The sauce was also good, although my dining companion felt its too salty and therefore not authentic. His theory is that it is because the water used to cook the spaghetti is from the Pacific Ocean, and therefore has a slight tang to it. I disagree, and would like to know if any of our readers have any opinions on this.
The first time I ate at colombian restaurant, I was very disappointed with the amount of meat I experienced. I thought it would be a little healthier if I had more of the chicken and fish. Turns out, it’s actually the sauce that makes it bad. The spaghetti sauce is made from a water from the Atlantic ocean, and while it may be watery, its saltier than the ocean water. So this is why I couldn’t taste the seafood.
Colombian restaurants are the kind of places that you can go to and have an experience that you don’t really want to repeat, but just can’t help yourself. This experience was one of the best I’ve had in a restaurant. The food was great, service was excellent, and the atmosphere was extremely quiet, which in a restaurant can be a nice change of pace. It also didn’t hurt that I had a big, juicy steak.
I had a beef tenderloin with steak frites and a side of seafood frites. If you like seafood frites, I would try these over at the place called The Pigeon at the West End in Atlanta.
I cant help but notice that there are a few similarities between the restaurant and the restaurant at the West End, the one I had. But unlike the West End, The Pigeon opened up in a restaurant in the heart of the city. I am still unsure what the reasoning is, but I hope that it is just a coincidence. The same goes for the restaurant at the West End.
The West End is a good place to relax and unwind, but the Pigeon is a good place to have fun. They are two different restaurants, and the same rules apply. You can order the food when you are sitting down, and you can sit down the same way again. Like the West End, you can order the food while you are eating, but you can’t order it again.
The main difference is that the Pigeon is a family place. You pay a little more money, and the food comes with a little extra help.
