I don’t know how I was so lucky to get my hands on this cast of hacksaw ridge. I’ve never met anyone who has. It’s a piece of iron hardware that was handcrafted by the guy who originally made the original Ridge. I have to say, this piece is beautiful. It’s a piece that makes you feel like you are in the presence of a genius, but also the guy that made it.
For those who haven’t seen the cast of hacksaw ridge, theres a bit of a backstory. The guy who originally made Ridge was a former bodyguard of Gen. George Patton, whose only other physical work was the creation of an entire regiment of bodyguards. Ridge is the product of a design process that goes back to the 1930s, which made the idea of a bodyguard for Patton seem almost absurd.
