When you live, you live, and you live. But when you live in a casa, it’s hard to do so. It is much easier to walk through a room and say, “Oh, this is the room. This is where we will spend the next six months.” But then, you can also just walk into the room and say, “This is where I live now,” and forget that you’re there.
I can’t tell you how many times someone will take me back to their own childhood memories and say, this used to be my room! I’ll show you around a bit, but you’ll have to come back for more.
Well, some of that is because we live in a very small space, but when you live in a very small space, you have to live in it to a certain extent. You have to actually visit each room you are in on a regular basis to experience the real feel of the place. Also, living in a small space means that you have to be able to communicate with your neighbors, which means that you have to be able to speak your mind to the people around you.
So this is where you have to get your friends and neighbors involved. It is important to keep things fresh and to avoid boring you, so you can go to the next town over and play the old favorites.
It’s a huge advantage if you can get your friends and neighbors involved in your life. Having them around can make you feel relaxed and peaceful, both of which are important qualities to have. And that’s where the benefits of living in a small space start to show up. It’s not a matter of having to move around a lot, it’s a matter of having to think about what you want, how you want it, and how you want to make it happen.

You can find them in a large space too, especially if you make an intentional decision to use the space for creative things. For instance, many creatives in Austin have set up a studio in the garage of their home in search of a better workspace.

Creative people are creative because they love to experiment with different ideas, and when they’re in a small space they’re forced to make a lot of mistakes and have to deal with a lot of frustrations.
