It is not that hard to be a part of the 4-Hour Work Week. It just takes determination, commitment, and planning each day. However, taking on that much in a year, especially after your child graduates from college, is impossible. The average working woman doesn’t even save enough for the emergency fund.
We all know that time is money. Saving for a rainy day is important, but having a plan for every eventuality is even more important. Time is a scarce resource and having a plan to spend it wisely is the most important thing you can do to create a happy, healthy, and prosperous life. The same is true for money. A successful plan for saving for retirement is worth more than a weekend at the beach in a bikini.
So, what you’re really talking about is a savings plan. You set aside a certain amount of money each month and then at the end of each month, you either put that money aside for a rainy day or take it out on a vacation as a bonus. It’s important to have a savings plan that allows you to save a significant amount of money and then allocate it in a way that best utilizes your income.
You wouldn’t go to a spa for a massage and then get drunk, would you? But that’s exactly what you do with your money. You save it for something that will improve your life, like a vacation, a new car, or a higher income. You can spend your money however you want it, but most of it is better spent than just drinking a drink or putting it in the bank.
If you make $45,000 a year, you can spend it however you like. You can spend it on buying a new house, a new car, a vacation, or whatever. In the end, you’re spending $2.2 million on your personal spending habits which is quite a bit of money, so you’d probably be surprised how little of it is actually money.
The average American spends $4.3 trillion a year on their personal spending habits. If you made 45k a year, then your spending habits would be something like $2.2 million per year. But that’s the thing, it’s still your spending habits that are making you money.
So what you pay for is your way of thinking about what you spend your time on. And these are the same feelings that we feel when we’re in the car and we’re driving around with our kids and we’re having fun. And we feel that way whenever we’re on autopilot.
So, you decide to spend about $5,000 a year on vacation and things go from bad to worse. When I was young, I used to go to the beach a couple times a year (it was rare), and I would spend $10,000 on a weekend getaway. I would be totally fine with that, and I would go out and I would have a great time. But when I got older, my spending habits took a turn for the worst.
So many times, we don’t even realize how much time we’re spending in our lives, since we’re so distracted by our work and the children and how many things are going on around us. When we think of vacation, it can be either the time to relax, or the time to spend more time with friends.
When we start to think of ourselves as a “workaholic”, we realize that we spend way more time in our own daily lives than we should. We spend so much time working and working and working, that we forget to spend time with friends and family.
